Dear Friends of the Stage Guild,

2016 has been an exciting year for us, as we celebrated our 30th anniversary. Thirty years have made for quite a journey, and our travels aren’t over– this year alone we’ve gone from Dublin to London in St Nicholas, to the afterlife in The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, and returned to Bedford Falls as we revived It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. And along the way we revisited some old favorites from the past three decades in our String of Pearls reading series!

2017 promises to be just as exciting and we can’t wait to share more of our eloquent plays of idea and argument, passion and wit with you! But before we bid ’16 goodbye, we want to cast you in a very important role! In show business parlance an “angel” is someone who financially supports theatrical work. Clarence the Angel of Wonderful Life was one of the most memorable characters on our stage this year as he earned his wings, and so we offer you the chance to earn your wings too, by contributing to our Annual Fundraising Appeal, and becoming an angel, too.

Your generosity makes possible the work we do, bringing DC area audiences the plays of George Bernard Shaw, T.S. Eliot, Ferenc Molnar and other– smart theatre for a smart town! All contributions are fully tax-deductible, and are acknowledged in our programs. Please play your part by donating whatever you can.

We wish a very happy holiday season, and look forward to seeing you at the Undercroft Theatre in the New Year. Don’t miss your cue!
