INTERNSHIPS

The Washington Stage Guild’s Internship Program trains the future theater professional by providing in-depth, hands-on experiences with seasoned professionals in the areas of artistic and technical production, arts administration and outreach.

Designed for undergraduate or graduate students, recent graduates and career changers interested in pursuing a career in the professional theater, the time periods for internships can be for an entire season, a semester, or may follow a single production cycle of six to nine weeks. Though no stipend is available, college credit may be arranged through the student’s sponsoring institution. Successful internships have been completed by students of George Mason University, George Washington University, The University of the District of Columbia, American University and Howard University.
