Washington Post:

The Washington Post says our production of ENDGAME is one of two…

…”WELL-ACTED revivals” [in New York and Washington] “FRESHLY REVEALING Samuel Beckett’s relevance. Largess floridly and amusingly hog[s] the spotlight.”

Washington City Paper:

“Largess…brings a dogged fierceness to his performance. Jackson and Regan bring a bit of pathos and humor…Griffiths provides much of the physical comedy.”

MD Theatre Guide:

“Bill Largess commands the stage [in] a VERY STRONG PRODUCTION”

DC Theater Arts:

“What director Alan Wade has done…is REMARKABLE. In casting Bill Largess and Matty Griffiths…a unique scene-partner chemistry that is a pleasure to behold. David Bryan Jackson and Rosemary Regan…and do very well too”

Broadway World:

“…each actor brings wonderful tenderness to what are otherwise disagreeable, abrasive protagonists, faithfully presenting the many layers to Becketts’ characters.”

Directed by Alan Wade, featuring Bill Largess

A quartet of characters inhabit a nearly empty room, surrounded by nothing, it seems. Do they want it to end, or can they go on with their limited lives? A profound and eerie masterpiece from Beckett, the author of WAITING FOR GODOT and HAPPY DAYS (Happy Days was produced by WSG in 1990.)

“We are so pleased to turn from one Nobel laureate, Major Barbara’s George Bernard Shaw, to another, Samuel Beckett,” says Artistic Director Bill Largess. “He has been an occasional presence on our stage since the Helen Hayes Award nominated performance by June Hansen in Happy Days (directed by Alan Wade) and has been a character in two productions-Lucia Mad and last season’s Sam & Dede, in which Beckett was played by Wade himself!” — Broadway World
